Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Aamras kheer (with cane sugar and brown rice):
- Brown rice kheer
- 1/2 litre fat milk
- 4-5 tbsp cane sugar (can add more for sweetness)
- 2 cardamom powdered
- 1/4 cup brown basmati rice soaked for 1 hour and then cooked
- Aamras
- 2 ripe mangoes
- 1-2 tbsp water
- Dry fruits of choice to garnish
Steps to make Aamras kheer (with cane sugar and brown rice)
- Bring half a litre fat milk to a boil. Reduce it to half it's quantity.
- Add the cane sugar and cardamom powder and mix well
- Add the boiled rice and bring everything to a boil till it thickens well.
- Cool and refrigerate.
- Aamras:
- Peel two pulpy mangoes. Soak the skin in some water for 10 minutes.
- Squeeze the skin to extract the pull stuck to it
- Chop the pulp and add everything to a mixer and pulse it well till it combines
- If the mangos are not sweet enough, extra sugar can be added to it.
- Refrigerate for half hour.
- To assemble, in a shot glass add the thick kheer, layer with some crushed dry fruits, spoon the aamras and top it with more crushed dry fruits.
