Put in the chopped tomatoes and green chiiles and saute well till it looks well blended and most of the water content is gone. Turn off the stove.
- Transfer this to the slow cooker, add in the Channa, put in salt (if it is soaked channa - about 1/2 -3/4 tsp) Turn on the slow cooker and leave on high for 8 hours.
- Heat the butter in a pan. Once it is melted and hot, add in the garam masala and let it froth up. Then turn off the heat and transfer this to the cooked channa. Mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander.
- This can be made the same way with soaked kidney beans (Rajma) as well. Follow all steps, just substitute rajma beans for channa.
